Following a rigorous selection process, Oliver will serve on the architectural review panel specialising in bespoke, one-off developments of significant architectural merit.
Design Yorkshire is a not-for-profit organisation and part of the Design Network, a group of organisations working throughout England to improve the quality of design and placemaking nationally. Each year, the panel appoints specialists across the built and natural environment disciplines to review significant architectural and landscape projects in the region. Panel members must be leading practitioners, recognised nationally and internationally for their expertise, innovation, and best practice.
Reflecting on his appointment, Oliver shared:
"It is an honour to join Design Yorkshire as a panel member. I believe profoundly in the importance of good design; it has the power to elevate everyday life, enrich communities, and create places that resonate with meaning and purpose. The opportunity to work alongside creative individuals who share this commitment, and for whom championing good design is central to their role, is incredibly rewarding. Design review represents a meaningful way to advocate for quality, champion thoughtful development, and help ensure that new buildings and masterplans make a positive, lasting contribution to the places and communities they serve.”
