 Commendation – Civic Trust Awards 1999
A conversion of redundant school buildings into a new ‘Start up’ Business Centre and Women’s Centre. The project was directed and part funded by Scarborough Borough Council and guidance over the multi agency occupation was given by Scarborough enterprise Agency and Scarborough Women’s Aid. Other funders included English Partnerships, North Yorkshire County Council and The European Union (under objective 5b).

Multi agency office accommodation for a range of voluntary community groups together with community facilities, within a redundant Victorian school building. It was funded through the Millennium Community with ‘matched’ funding made availability by English Partnerships, Single Regeneration Budget, the Tudor Trust and East Yorkshire County Council (amongst others).
